Ultimato nel XVI sec., questo ponte di pietra su palafitte fu costruito in luogo del ponte di legno, e ancora prima di barche, che un tempo rappresentava l’unico collegamento tra le due sponde del Canal Grande.
Le botteghe ai lati del passaggio centrale lo rendono particolarmente pittoresco.
